Product FAQs

Do you offer free samples?

One Love Organics is crafted in small batches to maintain the integrity of our ingredients and ensure you receive the highest quality product. This artisanal approach, along with our commitment to ECOCERT’s environmentally-friendly packaging guidelines, does not support sample sizes. Instead, we created a collection of trial sizes so that you may experience our products and discover what works best for you! In addition we offer a Worry Free Return Policy: Try One Love Organics worry-free with our 30-day return policy. We stand behind our products and want you to love them as much as we do.

How long will my products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?

We recommend using our oil-based products within 12 months after opening. We recommend using our water-based products within 9-12 months after opening. Store One Love Organics products in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, heat, humidity and excess moisture.

My Skin Savior Balm is too soft or it melted.

We leave out unnecessary fillers and stabilizers to keep only the best ingredients that nourish skin. This also means that Skin Savior Balm can melt or change texture during hot or cold temperatures. The good news is that the fluctuation from cool to warm does not affect quality or efficacy one bit. If your balm melts or becomes too soft, simply give it a little stir with a clean utensil and pop it in the fridge until it completely cools.

Why does my Skin Savior have little beads in it?

Since we leave out unnecessary fillers and stabilizers, this can result in the development of a bead-like texture in your balm. This is very normal and most of the time the beads will melt by simply warming the balm in your hands before applying (we suggest starting with a pea sized dab and then adding more if needed). The texture will dissolve from your body heat. If that does not work, we suggest melting the balm gently in a slow cooker on low or a gentle simmer in a bain-marie (double boiler). The water bath should be below the lid. Let the balm melt, stir with a clean spoon and then let it cool in your refrigerator.

Are One Love Organics’ products hypoallergenic?

There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term “hypoallergenic.” Consequently, we do not position our products as hypoallergenic. Similar to airborne and food allergies, topical allergies are unique to the individual. A product that may work beautifully for one person can irritate another.

For this reason, we always recommend doing a patch test prior to using any product. Simply place a small amount on the inside of the wrist or inner thigh and look for a reaction. If any redness or irritation occurs, stop using the product immediately.

Which OLO products can vegans use?

All of our productswith the exceptionof:Skin Savior Multi-tasking Wonder Balm, and Botanical B Cleansing Oil.The aforementioned contain beeswax.

Are One Love Organics’ products safe for pregnant women to use?

We recommend that any expectant mother check with her physician and/or decide for herself before changing her skin care routine with our products, or any other line of products. Every individual and situation is so unique that we suggest taking the safest route for moms to be! We always recommend doing a patch test prior to using any product. Simply place a small amount on the inside of the wrist or inner thigh and look for a reaction. If any redness or irritation occurs, stop using the product immediately.

How does Botanical C Facial Serum compare to other C Serums?

We formulated our oil-based Botanical C Serum to be different than other C serums on the market. It is a great option for anyone seeking a deeply moisturizing, nourishing treatment that has also been tested safe for sensitive skin. We use Vitamin C ester, also known as ascorbyl palmitate. It is a more potent source of Vitamin C that is less irritating to the skin and is more moisturizing and nourishing than L-ascorbic acid, a more commonly used source of Vitamin C used in skin care products. In addition, or serum is non-phototoxic, which means it’s safe to wear during the day—something you don’t often find with other C serums! Read more about our Botanical C Facial Serum

What percent of Vitamin C is in Botanical C Facial Serum?

Our Vitamin C is derived from a combination of Vitamin C ester and from ultra-concentrated, plant-based and bio-available ingredients naturally rich in Vitamin C. These botanical sources of Vitamin C include: Organic Rosehip Oil. Baobab Fruit Oil, Organic Green Tea, Organic Seabuckthorn and Organic Acerola.

Because our Vitamin C is derived mainly from botanical sources & Vitamin C Ester, rather than created in a lab, we are not able to calculate the exact percentage of vitamin C.

You recommend applying serums and balms to damp skin. Why?

By applying our serums and balms to damp skin, you help encourage natural absorption for enhanced hydration. The natural oils in our array of plant-powered products will reinforce the skin’s natural barrier to promote long-lasting moisture.

Why should I “double cleanse”?

The face is the most exposed part of the body and absorbs everything from makeup and sunscreen to dirt, dust, sweat, and even the oil released from your own pores. Double cleansing effectively removes all types of dirt, debris, and impurities and optimally preps the skin for treatment serums and moisturizers. For optimal double cleansing, we recommend using our Botanical B Enzyme Cleansing Oil first, following immediately with our Botanical A Facial Cleanser.
